The Marathon Run

I have always wanted to complete a Marathon. During the early days of Iggy’s Diagnosis, I came across a story of Richard Hoyt who ran with his son who had Cerebral Palsy. This has inspired me to do the same. I have planned now to complete an entire marathon whilst pushing Iggy to the finish line. I have been in training since September 2022

The date will be the 18th February 2023. This date will be two years since we found out the news of Iggy’s (PVL).

We plan to leave our house in Drysdale, run along the Bellarine Rail Trail into The Geelong Show Grounds and return to our finish line at the Drysdale Netball Courts.

We would love to see you cheer us along the way on our run and especially at the Finish Line!! We plan to have some celebrations at the conclusion of the Marathon. Coffee and food will be available and a playground for the little ones so bring the family down and we look forward to seeing you there.

 

We successfully ran 42.53km in 4hrs 5mins, at a 5:46/km pace
